Digital asset management software development.

A digital asset management system is the one library for a company's images, video, design files and documents, where anyone can find the right version.

We build it to order, around the way you work, or extend and connect the one you already have.

01What it is

In plain words.

A digital asset management system is the one library for a company's images, video, design files and documents, where anyone can find the right version.

Media files multiply. The product photos are on a designer's laptop, the logo exists in forty versions on a shared drive, the video shoot from last year cannot be found, and the agency is paid to recreate what the company already owns.

A DAM is the library and the librarian. Files are stored once, described so they can be found, protected by rights and permissions, and delivered in whatever size and format each channel needs.

02What it includes

Every part, explained.

6 parts. Each can be built by itself; together they are one system.

01

Image and video asset management

Upload, storage, versions, renditions and delivery for photos, video, audio, design files and documents, with large files handled as easily as small ones.

02

Brand asset libraries

The approved logos, colours, fonts, templates and guidelines in one place for staff, agencies and partners, so what goes out is on brand and current.

03

Media organisation

Collections, folders, projects and campaigns, with usage rights, licences and expiry dates attached to each file and enforced.

04

Asset search and discovery

Search by what is in the picture, by product, campaign, colour, person or date, with filters and visual similarity, so a file is found in seconds.

05

Metadata management

A vocabulary of tags and fields that fits your business, applied consistently, with bulk editing and required fields so the library stays usable as it grows.

06

AI-powered asset classification

Built to tag images and video automatically, recognise products and scenes, transcribe speech, detect duplicates and near-duplicates, and suggest descriptions. A librarian confirms; the system does the bulk of the typing.

Buy, extend or build?

Buy a DAM if your needs are a shared brand library. Build when the library is large and specialised, such as product imagery in the hundreds of thousands, footage, or technical drawings, when it must connect to your PIM, CMS and production tools, or when unreleased material must not sit on a third party's servers.

Where intelligence fits

Automatic tagging is what makes a large library searchable without an army of cataloguers, and it is where vision models are dependable. We train or tune them on your own products and terms, and keep them on your infrastructure when the media is unreleased or confidential.

04How we build it

Five steps, in the open.

  1. 01

    Listen

You describe the work and where it hurts. We look at the systems and the data you have now.

  2. 02

    Specify

A written specification: what the system does, what it does not, what it connects to and how we will know it works. A clear quote before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Build in stages

A working piece at each stage, on real data, so you steer early. The part that matters most comes first.

  4. 04

    Move the data

Existing records mapped, cleaned of duplicates and reconciled against the old system before anything is switched off.

  5. 05

    Hand over

Training, documentation and the keys. Your team can run it, and we keep it working for as long as you want us to.

One set of records underneath

Customers, products, suppliers, people and stock are each defined once. A second system joins the first; it does not start a competing copy.

Runs where you decide

Your own servers, a private cloud or a cloud account that belongs to you. Customer, employee and financial data stays on infrastructure you control.

Yours to keep

You own the code, the data, the configuration and the documentation. There is no licence fee to us and nothing stopping another team from taking it on.

05Questions

Before you ask.

Questions about DAM

How is a DAM different from a shared drive?

A shared drive stores files in folders. A DAM describes them, versions them, controls who may use them and until when, converts them to the formats each channel needs, and lets you search by what is in them.

Can AI tag our images automatically?

Yes. Models can recognise objects, scenes, text and, once tuned, your own products, and apply tags from your vocabulary for a person to review.

Can it track usage rights and licences?

Yes. Each asset carries its rights, territories and expiry, and can be withdrawn automatically when a licence ends.

Tell us how the work runs today.

How the work runs today, what the system must do and what it has to connect to. A person reads it and replies honestly about whether to buy, extend or build.
