Custom CMS development.

A content management system lets the people who know what to say publish it themselves, without asking a developer.

We build it to order, around the way you work, or extend and connect the one you already have.

01What it is

In plain words.

A content management system lets the people who know what to say publish it themselves, without asking a developer.

When a website can only be changed by its developers, it goes stale. A price is wrong for a month, the new product has no page, and the marketing team keeps a list of requested changes that never shrinks.

A CMS puts publishing in the hands of the people responsible for the content. A headless CMS goes a step further and separates the content from any one website, so the same article or product description can appear on the site, in the app, on a kiosk and in an AI assistant's answer.

02What it includes

Every part, explained.

6 parts. Each can be built by itself; together they are one system.

01

Website content management

Pages built from approved blocks, with preview, scheduling, redirects, search-engine fields and version history, so editors can do anything the design allows and nothing it does not.

02

Enterprise CMS

Many sites, brands, regions and languages on one platform, with roles and permissions, shared and local content, and governance over who may publish what.

03

Headless CMS

Content stored as structured data and delivered through an interface to any front end: website, mobile app, in-store screen, partner portal or voice assistant.

04

Content workflows

Draft, review, legal or compliance check, approval and publication as defined steps, with comments, change tracking and an audit trail.

05

Digital publishing

Articles, magazines, documentation, catalogues and newsletters produced from the same content, with paywalls, subscriptions and syndication where the business needs them.

06

AI-assisted content management

Built to draft, summarise, translate and tag content, write image descriptions and metadata, and check a page against your style guide. Every draft is for an editor to approve; nothing publishes itself.

Buy, extend or build?

Buy or adopt an established CMS for a standard marketing site; there are excellent open-source and commercial ones, and we build on them when they fit. Build a custom or headless system when content must feed several channels, when workflows and permissions are complex, or when the content model is specific to your business.

Where intelligence fits

Language models are good at first drafts, translation and the tagging nobody wants to do, and poor at being the final word. We build them into the editor's screen as an assistant, with your terminology and tone supplied, and keep a person as publisher.

04How we build it

Five steps, in the open.

  1. 01

    Listen

You describe the work and where it hurts. We look at the systems and the data you have now.

  2. 02

    Specify

A written specification: what the system does, what it does not, what it connects to and how we will know it works. A clear quote before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Build in stages

A working piece at each stage, on real data, so you steer early. The part that matters most comes first.

  4. 04

    Move the data

Existing records mapped, cleaned of duplicates and reconciled against the old system before anything is switched off.

  5. 05

    Hand over

Training, documentation and the keys. Your team can run it, and we keep it working for as long as you want us to.

One set of records underneath

Customers, products, suppliers, people and stock are each defined once. A second system joins the first; it does not start a competing copy.

Runs where you decide

Your own servers, a private cloud or a cloud account that belongs to you. Customer, employee and financial data stays on infrastructure you control.

Yours to keep

You own the code, the data, the configuration and the documentation. There is no licence fee to us and nothing stopping another team from taking it on.

05Questions

Before you ask.

Questions about CMS

What is a headless CMS and when is it worth it?

It is a CMS that stores content without being tied to one website, and serves it to any channel. It is worth it when the same content must appear in more than one place, or when you want freedom to redesign the front end without touching the content.

Do you build on existing CMS platforms or from scratch?

Whichever suits. A good existing platform is often the right base, extended where needed. A fully custom build is for content models and workflows that platforms handle poorly.

Will content be findable by search engines and AI assistants?

Yes. Clean structure, metadata, structured data and fast pages are part of the build, since content nobody can find has not been published.

Tell us how the work runs today.

How the work runs today, what the system must do and what it has to connect to. A person reads it and replies honestly about whether to buy, extend or build.
