04Business systems · built to order

Content, assets and product information.

Every page, image and product fact, kept once and published everywhere.

Content management, digital asset management and product information management, built to order so the website, the catalogue, the marketplace listing and the sales deck all say the same thing.

Fig. 00One source, every channel

A company describes itself in hundreds of places: the website, the app, the catalogue, the marketplaces, the brochures, the distributor portals. Each was written at a different time by a different person, and they have drifted apart.

These three systems hold the three things that get published: words and pages, images and video, and the facts about each product. Kept once and sent to every channel, they stop the drift.

04.1CMS

Content management system.

A content management system lets the people who know what to say publish it themselves, without asking a developer.

When a website can only be changed by its developers, it goes stale. A price is wrong for a month, the new product has no page, and the marketing team keeps a list of requested changes that never shrinks.

04.2DAM

Digital asset management.

A digital asset management system is the one library for a company's images, video, design files and documents, where anyone can find the right version.

Media files multiply. The product photos are on a designer's laptop, the logo exists in forty versions on a shared drive, the video shoot from last year cannot be found, and the agency is paid to recreate what the company already owns.

What we build

  • Image and video asset management
  • Brand asset libraries
  • Media organisation
  • Asset search and discovery
  • Metadata management
  • AI-powered asset classification

04.3PIM

Product information management.

A product information management system holds the definitive facts about everything a company sells, and sends them to every place the products are listed.

Product data starts in a spreadsheet and ends in chaos. The ERP has a code and a cryptic description, marketing has a nicer name in a different file, the website shows last season's dimensions, and each marketplace wants the same facts in a format of its own.

What we build

  • Product catalogue management
  • SKU management
  • Product data
  • Product specifications
  • Multi-channel product information
  • Product data enrichment

Questions

What is the difference between CMS, DAM and PIM?

A CMS manages pages and articles. A DAM manages media files: images, video, documents. A PIM manages structured facts about products: sizes, materials, prices, translations. A company with a large catalogue usually needs all three, working together.

Can they feed marketplaces and distributors as well as our own site?

Yes. That is the point of keeping content and product data in one place: each channel receives it in the format it requires, from the same source.

Can our own team run it day to day?

It is built for that. Editors, marketers and product managers work in screens designed around their tasks, with no developer needed to publish a page or correct a specification.
