05Data & integration · iPaaS

iPaaS and integration platform development.

An integration platform is the switchboard between a company's systems: it carries data from each one to the others that need it.

We build it to order, around the way you work, or extend and connect the one you already have.

01What it is

In plain words.

An integration platform is the switchboard between a company's systems: it carries data from each one to the others that need it.

Systems connected one pair at a time become a tangle. Ten systems can need forty-five separate links, each written differently by someone who has since left, and when one system is upgraded nobody knows what will break.

An integration platform replaces the tangle with a hub. Each system connects once, flows between them are defined in one place, and every message is logged, retried on failure and visible to the people responsible.

02What it includes

Every part, explained.

7 parts. Each can be built by itself; together they are one system.

01

Application integration

Business applications joined so an event in one triggers the right action in another: a won deal creates a project, a delivery raises an invoice.

02

API integration

Connections through each system's programming interface, with authentication, rate limits, versioning and error handling done properly once and reused.

03

Data synchronisation

The same record kept identical across systems, one-way or both ways, with rules for which system wins a conflict and a log of every change.

04

Workflow automation

Multi-step flows across systems with conditions, waits and approvals: the business process, not just the data transfer.

05

System-to-system integration

Direct, dependable links where two systems must stay in close step, such as an ERP and a warehouse system, including file-based and message-queue exchanges.

06

Enterprise integration

The patterns a large estate needs: an event bus, queues, transformation, routing, monitoring and replay, so integration is an operated service and not a set of scripts.

07

Custom connectors

Adapters for the systems no product supports: the legacy database, the machine controller, the supplier portal, the in-house application.

Buy, extend or build?

Buy a hosted integration service if your systems are common cloud applications and your flows are simple. Build or self-host when integration must reach systems inside your network, when volumes make per-task pricing expensive, when data may not pass through a third party, or when the estate is large enough that integration is a core capability.

Where intelligence fits

Intelligence helps integration at the edges where formats are untidy: mapping fields between systems, reading documents that arrive as attachments, and matching records that have no shared key. The transport itself stays deterministic, since a message must arrive once and exactly as sent.

04How we build it

Five steps, in the open.

  1. 01

    Listen

You describe the work and where it hurts. We look at the systems and the data you have now.

  2. 02

    Specify

A written specification: what the system does, what it does not, what it connects to and how we will know it works. A clear quote before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Build in stages

A working piece at each stage, on real data, so you steer early. The part that matters most comes first.

  4. 04

    Move the data

Existing records mapped, cleaned of duplicates and reconciled against the old system before anything is switched off.

  5. 05

    Hand over

Training, documentation and the keys. Your team can run it, and we keep it working for as long as you want us to.

One set of records underneath

Customers, products, suppliers, people and stock are each defined once. A second system joins the first; it does not start a competing copy.

Runs where you decide

Your own servers, a private cloud or a cloud account that belongs to you. Customer, employee and financial data stays on infrastructure you control.

Yours to keep

You own the code, the data, the configuration and the documentation. There is no licence fee to us and nothing stopping another team from taking it on.

05Questions

Before you ask.

Questions about iPaaS

What is iPaaS in plain words?

A central service that connects your business applications, so data moves between them automatically. Each system plugs into the platform once, and the platform handles delivery, format conversion, errors and logging.

Can it connect to old or in-house systems?

Yes. Where no ready connector exists we write one, against a database, a file drop, a screen or whatever interface the old system offers.

What happens when an integration fails?

The message is kept, retried and, if it still fails, raised to a person with the reason. Nothing is silently lost, and failed messages can be replayed once the cause is fixed.

Tell us how the work runs today.

How the work runs today, what the system must do and what it has to connect to. A person reads it and replies honestly about whether to buy, extend or build.
