Business intelligence and dashboard development.

Business intelligence turns what a company's systems record into charts and figures its people can read and act on.

We build it to order, around the way you work, or extend and connect the one you already have.

01What it is

In plain words.

Business intelligence turns what a company's systems record into charts and figures its people can read and act on.

The usual state of reporting is a person. Someone exports from four systems on the first of the month, stitches the files together and emails a spreadsheet, and when that person is on holiday the company flies blind.

BI replaces the person with a pipeline. Data flows from the systems into one model, each measure is defined once, and everyone opens the same dashboard and sees the same number. The hard part is agreeing what the number means, not drawing the chart.

02What it includes

Every part, explained.

7 parts. Each can be built by itself; together they are one system.

01

Business dashboards

One screen per role: what the director, the plant manager, the sales lead and the finance team each need to see first, current and drillable to the detail beneath.

02

Data visualisation

Charts chosen to make the point plainly, with consistent colours, scales and definitions, readable on a phone and on a wall screen.

03

KPI monitoring

The handful of measures that matter, each with a target, a trend and an alert when it moves outside its range, so attention goes where it is needed.

04

Reporting

Scheduled and on-demand reports, statutory and management packs, delivered by email or portal, replacing the monthly spreadsheet.

05

Operational analytics

Near-live views of the running business: orders, production, queues, deliveries, calls. Analysis that helps today's decision, not last quarter's review.

06

Predictive analytics

Forward-looking measures alongside the historical ones: expected demand, likely churn, cash position ahead, each with its uncertainty shown.

07

AI-powered business intelligence

Built to answer a question typed in plain language with a chart and the query behind it, explain why a number moved, and point out the anomaly nobody was looking for.

Buy, extend or build?

Buy a BI tool; almost nobody should write their own charting software, and we build on the established ones. What is worth building to order is everything beneath it: the data model, the definitions, the pipelines and the dashboards designed around your decisions. That is where BI projects succeed or fail.

Where intelligence fits

Asking the data a question in words is useful only if the answer can be checked. We build it to work on your agreed definitions, show the query it ran and say when a question is ambiguous. A confident wrong number is worse than no number.

04How we build it

Five steps, in the open.

  1. 01

    Listen

You describe the work and where it hurts. We look at the systems and the data you have now.

  2. 02

    Specify

A written specification: what the system does, what it does not, what it connects to and how we will know it works. A clear quote before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Build in stages

A working piece at each stage, on real data, so you steer early. The part that matters most comes first.

  4. 04

    Move the data

Existing records mapped, cleaned of duplicates and reconciled against the old system before anything is switched off.

  5. 05

    Hand over

Training, documentation and the keys. Your team can run it, and we keep it working for as long as you want us to.

One set of records underneath

Customers, products, suppliers, people and stock are each defined once. A second system joins the first; it does not start a competing copy.

Runs where you decide

Your own servers, a private cloud or a cloud account that belongs to you. Customer, employee and financial data stays on infrastructure you control.

Yours to keep

You own the code, the data, the configuration and the documentation. There is no licence fee to us and nothing stopping another team from taking it on.

05Questions

Before you ask.

Questions about BI

Why do our dashboards show different numbers for the same thing?

Because each was built on its own extract with its own definition. The fix is one shared model in which revenue, customer, order and margin are each defined once, and every dashboard reads from it.

Which BI tool do you use?

Whichever suits your systems, skills and budget, including the one you already pay for. The tool matters less than the model underneath it.

Can people ask questions in plain language?

Yes. A natural-language layer can be built over the model so a manager can type a question and get a chart, with the underlying query visible for checking.

Tell us how the work runs today.

How the work runs today, what the system must do and what it has to connect to. A person reads it and replies honestly about whether to buy, extend or build.
