Data work is done with many tools from many companies, and each sells one layer: where data is stored, how it gets there, how it is charted, how work is automated. No single company on this list does all of it.
So the list is grouped by layer. We are on it ourselves, in the last group, and say so.
00The list: data, BI and integration companies, by what they do
Companies are grouped by what they do, and the order within a group means nothing. Each entry gives two public facts — where the company is based and what it makes — and no prices, market shares, funding figures or rankings. Quantum Beetle, which wrote this page, appears once and is marked as such. Corrections are welcome at hello@quantumbeetle.ai.

Automation software for business processes, from robotic process automation to AI agents.
Process automation software for enterprises.
Process intelligence: it reads event data in a company's systems and shows how its processes really run.
Analytics and data services firms
AI and decision-intelligence services and products for large global enterprises.
Analytics and AI consulting for large enterprises.
Data analytics and consulting services.
Consulting and technology services at global scale, including large implementation practices for the major platforms.

Teams that build the layer in between, to order
Builds data platforms, pipelines, master data clean-up, dashboards, decision systems, integrations and process automation to order, on the client's own infrastructure where required. Its flagship product, MIDAS, matches and cleans material master records with a confidence on every decision.
01How this list was made
Three tests for inclusion: data, analytics, integration or automation software is the company's product or a large, named part of its work; what it does is publicly documented, so the one-line description can be checked; and it is used well beyond one city or one customer.
The list was last reviewed on 2026-10-10. Companies merge, rename products and move, so treat it as a map of who exists, not a verdict on who is best. Corrections and additions: hello@quantumbeetle.ai.
02Which kind do you need?
- Somewhere dependable to keep and query data: a data platform. Choose by the cloud you already use and by cost at your volume.
- Charts and dashboards for the business: a BI tool, which matters less than the definitions underneath it.
- Data retyped between systems: an integration platform, or connectors built for the systems it does not cover.
- Repetitive steps in a process: automation software, used after the process itself has been simplified.
- A specific question answered or a model built: an analytics firm.
- All of the above designed as one, around systems of your own: a team that builds to order.
03Questions to ask any of them
- What does it cost at our data volume and number of users, in a year's time?
- Is our data stored in an open format we can read with other tools?
- Which of our systems does it connect to today, and who builds the rest?
- Where is the data processed, and can it stay on infrastructure we control?
- Who agrees what each number means, and where is that written down?
04Where Quantum Beetle sits
In the last group. We do not sell a data platform, a BI tool or an integration service; the groups above name the companies that do, and we build on their products where they fit. What we build is the design that joins them: the data model, the pipelines, the master data rules and the dashboards, around a company's own systems.
Matching and cleaning records is where we go deepest. It is what MIDAS, our flagship product, does on material master data.
In short
- Data tools are sold by layer: storage, movement, display, automation. Few companies need all the brands; all need the layers to agree.
- The BI tool matters less than shared definitions and clean master data.
- Check cost at your real volume and that your data stays in an open format.
- Automate a process only after simplifying it.
- Quantum Beetle wrote this list and is on it, as a team that builds the layer in between to order.
Questions
Which is the best data platform?
Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift and Microsoft Fabric are the most widely used, and each is strong. The best one for a company usually follows the cloud it already runs on, its skills and its cost at real volumes.
Which is the best BI tool?
Microsoft Power BI and Tableau are the most widely used, with Qlik, Looker and ThoughtSpot also common. The tool is rarely what decides success. Agreed definitions and a clean data model underneath do.
What is the difference between an integration platform and automation software?
An integration platform moves data between systems through their interfaces. Automation software carries out the steps of a process, sometimes by operating screens as a person would. Most companies end up using both.
Does Quantum Beetle build data platforms and integrations?
Yes, to order: data warehouses and lakehouses, pipelines, master data management, BI, analytics and decision systems, API and system integration, and business process automation. See quantumbeetle.ai/systems/data.
How do I get a company added or a description corrected?
Write to hello@quantumbeetle.ai with the company's name, city and a one-line description of what it makes. We add companies that meet the three tests in the section on how the list was made.
